Version 1.2, updated on 16 October 2026. What this website collects, why, who receives it, and what you can ask for. The French version is the reference text.
Who is responsible
Don Vito SRL, RLE Brussels, Dutch-speaking Enterprise Court, VAT BE 1030.770.993, which runs the restaurant Don Vito. Registered office: Lindestraat 42, 1640 Sint-Genesius-Rode. Restaurant: Sur les Thiers 32, 4990 Lierneux. Email: donvitopates@gmail.com.
What this website collects
Nothing about you. This website has no form, creates no account and does not measure its audience.
If you call or write to us, we receive what you choose to tell us: your name, your number, your request. It is used to answer you, book your table and prepare your order, nothing else. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, then the performance of the contract.
Cookies
Storing a tracker on your device is governed by article 10/2 of the Belgian law of 30 July 2018: without your consent, nothing beyond what is strictly necessary.
This website sets no cookies of its own. Fonts are hosted here. The links to Facebook, to the Google listing, to directions and to the online shop are plain links: nothing is loaded from those services until you click.
One exception, and only with your consent: the Google map on the contact page (see below). On your first visit, a banner offers it to you, with “Refuse all” and “Accept all”. Your answer is stored in your browser's local storage, with its date and the version number of this page; it never leaves your device, and you are asked again after six months.
When you arrive at the main address of the website, the language offered is chosen from your browser's language. It is not stored anywhere.
The map on the contact page
The contact page can show a Google Maps map. It only loads if you answered “Accept all” in the banner or clicked “Show the Google map”; before that, nothing is sent to Google. Once the map is shown, your browser connects to the servers of Google Ireland Limited (Google Maps), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google is then responsible for what it does with them, under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the “Review my cookie choice” button at the bottom of this page.
Who receives what
The host, Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States, keeps technical connection logs (IP address, time, page requested) to run and protect the website. This transfer outside the European Economic Area is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the standard contractual clauses of Decision (EU) 2021/914. Google, only if you show the map. Nobody else: no advertising network, no data broker.
How long
Requests received by phone or email are only kept for as long as it takes to handle the booking or order, or a complaint, twelve months at most. Those that lead to a sale are also kept for the periods required by accounting and tax law.
The online shop is a separate website
Orders and payments take place on shop.restaurant-lierneux.be, which has its own terms and conditions and its own privacy policy. This policy does not cover what you do there.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by email at donvitopates@gmail.com, by phone or at the counter. We reply within one month.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be.
If this page changes
It carries a version number and a date, at the top. When the text changes, the number changes, and the banner asks you again.
